The aim of interdisciplinary team of authors is to create materials which confirm the need of knowledge of basic mechanisms for understanding clinical aspects of diseases. Modification of the way of teaching from classic to problem oriented may help in training students in clinical reasoning which is indispensable for appropriate diagnosis and treatment. The integration of basic and clinical topics is necessary and students should be aware of it as early as possible. That is why new materials will be presented to students of II year of studies.
It is planned to create 30 virtual problems (10 per each country) which will be exchanged between coworkers and given to students via electronic way upon invitation. The range of topics included into virtual problems will be based on suggestions of students, experience of teachers as well as clinical importance. Virtual problems will be evaluated prior to student access. They should contain not only text but also audiovisual files, graphs, pictures.
